Price Services Friday

Services for friends and relatives of Samuel W. Price, 75, of 234 S. Main St., St. Marys, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Yoder, Long, and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. Carl G. Will, New Bremen, will officiate. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.

There will be no visitation prior to the service. Private committal services will be held in the cemetery at a later time. Persons wishing to make memorial contributions are asked by the family to contribute to the heart or cancer funds or to the charity they choose.

Mr. Price was dead on arrival at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health with a heart condition for several years and was transported to the hospital in the city emergency ambulance. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.

Born Feb. 26, 1902 in Lincoln County, Miss., he was the son of Odom and India O. (Carlisle) Price. On May 3, 1953, he was married to Edith O. Katterheinrich who survives with a daughter, two sons, a grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Gettice) Potts, Ferriday, La.

A sister and three brothers preceded Mr. Price in death.

He was a retired production supervisor at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., St. Marys, where he had been employed for 37 years.
