Ona Katterheinrich, 80, Dies in Lima
Mrs. Ona S. Katterheinrich, 80, formerly of 502 S. Main St., New Knoxville, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Lima Manor Nursing Home, Lima. She had been removed from the St. Marys Nursing Home to the Lima Home on May 1. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Katterheinrich, was born Aug. 9, 1894, in New Knoxville, the daughter of the late August H. and Anna Schroer Stienecker. She and Noah P. Katterheinrich were married June 18, 1914. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1970.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Samuel W. (Edith) Price, St. Marys and Mrs. Edward (Eileen) Gregson, Wapakoneta; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Lydia) Henschen, New Knoxville; Mrs. Gustave A. (Mary) Hoge, New Knoxville; and Mrs. Gertrude Wright, Grove City, and two brothers, Clem Stienecker, New Knoxville, and Reuben Stienecker, R.R. 1, St. Marys.
A son, Lloyd, died in 1973, and two brothers preceded Mrs. Katterheinrich in death.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, New Knoxville, and was a charter member of the WSCS of the church, and a member and teacher of a Sunday School Class. She also was a Goodyear retiree.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church, New Knoxville with the Rev. Clarence L. Carnahan officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church from noon until the time of services on Friday.
The family requests that those desiring to give memorials contribute them to the heart or cancer societies.
