Mr. Cloyce Mack May, 90, a resident of Brookhaven passed away at his home on March 2, 2013.

He was born in Brookhaven on July 29, 1922, the son of John Sidney May and Sarah Dunn May.

Mr. May was a retired installer/repairman for 35 years with Southern Bell Co. Out of high school he enlisted in the US Navy during WWII. He served in the Pacific Campaign, first on an air craft carrier and later a destroyer. In 1946 he went to work for the telephone company until his retirement in 1981. He was a beloved member of New Prospect Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. He loved the Lord and his family.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez drive location. Visitation will resume Monday, March 4 at 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am at New Prospect Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. May is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Royce May and John E. May; two sisters, Theda Stephens and Anita Maples.

Mr. May is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Britt May of Brookhaven; one daughter, Peggy May of Brookhaven; one son, Mack Randall May and wife Claire of Hermanville, MS; his grandchildren, Chris Fauver and wife Krissy, of Austin, TX; Cary Fauver and wife Angel of Moble, AL; Kevin Fauver and wife Toni of Brookhaven; Rebecca Melancon and husband Ryan of Lake Charles, LA; and Daniel May of Brandon, MS; one brother, William E. May and two sisters, Freddie Miller and Patricia Harrell; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez drive location.
