Beginning at age 12, Sue began volunteering in church as a pianist then later as an accompanist, Bible study leader and choir director for youth and adults. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, San Antonio, for 32 years and for the last twelve years led worship for a Bible study she and her husband Sam began at the Waterford Retirement Center on Thousand Oaks.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Morrow and Thoma Miller; sisters, Dee Smith and Neva Carlton; and brothers, Wendell Morrow and Wayne Morrow.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Moore; daughters, Sherry Lindsey (Mark) and Stacey Heyser; grandchildren, Kristen Padilla (Osvaldo), Kim Beasley (Alex), Rick Heyser (Kate), Ben Heyser and Chris Heyser; great-grandchildren, Philip Padilla and Nathan Beasley; mother-in-law, Vernelle Moore, and numerous loved family members.
Honorary pallbearers are Rick Heyser, Ben Heyser, Chris Heyser, Alex Beasley, Osvaldo Padilla, Tyler Woodby and Tanner Woodby.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring McCullough.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Missions Committee or the Church Missions Initiative of First Baptist Church, San Antonio.
