Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. Weidman Of Yale
Funeral services were held at the Yale Methodist Church Sunday, for Mrs. A. L. Weidman. Rev. Harold H. Stark, assisted by the Yale Church of Christ, conducted the services.

Interment was in Richland Cemetery.

Obituary Notice:

Bertha L daughter of Laban and Lucretia Ellis, was born at Galesburg, Illinois, February 9, 1872 and died at her home in Yale, Iowa, December 17, 1937 at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 8 days. Death being the result of a stroke suffered on November 22, 1937. Mrs. Weidman had enjoyed good health throughout her life until the past year.

When she was about 18 years of age she came to Iowa locating at Jamaica.
On March 29, 1891, she was united in marriage with Albert L. Weidman. Seven children were born to them: Raymond Ellis. Who died at the age of 13 month; Therese, Earl, Vincent, Myrna, and Kenneth all of Yale; and Mrs Cora Ridenour of Perry.

Mr. and Mrs. Weidman, their children, moved to Yale, Iowa in 1911 where they have since made their home.

While still young Mrs. Weidman united with the United Brethren Church of Jamaica, Iowa, where she was a faithful worker.

Mrs. Weidman leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and 6 children previously mentioned; one sister, Mrs. Cora Tunis of Ringwood, Oklahoma; one brother, Laban H. Ellis of Ravana, Ill.; three grandchildren; and many more distant relatives.

Music was furnished by a quartette composed of Mesdames J. W. Hemphill and Harold H. Stark and Messrs Mont Dubes and Chad Smith, accompanied by Mrs. H. C. Dubes sang "Lead Kindly Light," "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Sweet By and By."

The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Roy Burchfield and Mrs. Ira Nowels.
The pall bearer were; Joe Chaleupka, H. C. Dubes, Bert Deardorff, Guy Heater, John Tighe and Char. Krauthoff. Interment was in Richland Cemetery.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the services included; Mrs. Char. Holmes and Mr. Emma Burke of Rippey.
