William Seymour Dawson, of Mountjoy Barracks, Dublin, a Sapper in the Royal Engineers, son of James Dawson, a Civil Engineer, married Elizabeth Woolmington, of 24, Upper Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin, daughter of George Woolmington, a Farmer, on 4 March 1886, at St. Stephen's Church, Mount Street Crescent, Dublin.



In the 1901 census, the Dawson family were living at Martin's Row, Chapelizod.
present were,
William Dawson, aged 43, a widower, Ordnance Survey, born in Co. Dublin.
George, his son, aged 11, a schoolboy, born in Co. Dublin.
Henry, son, aged 10, a schoolboy, born in Co. Dublin.


In the 1911 census, the Dawson family were living at Chapelizod.
present were,
William Dawson, aged 54, a widower, Civil Servant, Ordnance Survey, Pensioner Royal Engineers, born in Dublin City.
He had 3 children, all of whom were alive.
