Tuscaloosa - Lonia Bell, 87, of 16 Lakeshore Dr., died Jan. 28, 1998, at LaRocca Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Hill Gardens.
Mrs. Bell was retired from Greyhound Bus Lines Station. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Henry C. Bell.
Survivors include six nieces, Shirley Hawkins, Anita Stringer, Wanda Merriman, Ruby Tillman, Cynthia Turner and Rita Baggett; two nephews, Speck Shirley and Warren Shirley; one niece-in-law Rebecca Schoel; three nephews-in-law, John Schoel, David Schoel and Maurice Reed Bell, Jr.; a special cousin, Dorothy Stokes; a dear friend, Mildred Hanna.
Pallbearers will be Speck Shirley, Warren Shirley, Bobby Walker, Maurice Bell, John Schoel, Howard Hawkins, Nathaniel Norris and Bobby Tillman.
