Barbara Ann Abbe, resident of Corsicana, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana at the age of 68 with her family at her side. Barbara was born on Dec. 6, 1942 in Corsicana to Lester Woodrow Easley and Bertha Berryhill Easley. She worked for Curington Cleaners when it was located on West 7th Ave., but was better known for her time at Lester's Quick Stop on West 2nd Ave. After selling the store she worked as a Licensed Christian Counselor at the Genesis Center in Kaufman, an accomplishment of which she was proud. Barbara loved people and enjoyed helping those in need. She was a member of Calvary Worship Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her sons David Abbe and his wife Terrie of Payne Springs and Chris Abbe and his wife Susan of Corsicana. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cory Abbe and his wife Jessica, Cody Abbe, Anna Abbe, and Owen Abbe and two great-grandchildren, Justyn and Cayden Abbe. She is also survived by her brother Lester Easley and his wife Maxine and a number of nieces, nephews and family members and extended family Cliff and Pattie Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday , Dec. 6, 2011, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, in the Chapel at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Johnson, Bro. Michael Bedard, and Bro. Danny Reeves officiating. A family graveside service will be held following the service at Campbell-Elrod Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Easley, Johnny Easley, Kenneth Napps, Ricky Easley, Tommy Montgomery, Michael Easley, James Smith and Lawton Stewart.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Genesis Center of Kaufman, 2675 N State Hwy. 34, Kaufman, Texas 75142.
