Edith Beardemphl Allen--Redfield
ASHTON -- Services for Edith Beardemphl Allen, 90, Redfield, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church here with the Rev. A. Julian Wigen officiating. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1986, at James Valley Nursing Home in Redfield,
She was born April 26, 1896, at Turton. She attended school in Wisconsin and lived most of her life in Spink County. She was married to Anzi Beardemphl in 1912. He died in 1940.
In September of 1943 she was married to Tom Allen at Redfield. He died in 1961.
Survivors include three sons, Otto, Floyd and Richard Beardemphl Sr., all of Ashton; three daughters, Mrs, Roy (Carolyn) Stover and Mrs. LeRoy (Bertha) Groft, both of Redfield; and Mrs. John (Alice) Groft, Ashton; one brother, Lester Bymers, St. Cloud, Minn.; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, six sisters and five brothers.
Coleman-Thelen Funeral Home of Redfield is in charge of arrangements.
