Mr. Meginnes was born at Jersey Shore Mar 26, 1857. He was the son of John F Meginnes, both of them served as editors of the Williamsport Sun Gazette for over 20 years. He was educated in the common schools & attended the Williamsport Commercial College. He was an expert stenographer.
He suffered from a bad heart which eventually killed him.
