Services for Robert E. Richard of Lufkin will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. L. D. Bell officiating and burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Richard was born in Nacogdoches and had resided in Lufkin for the past 40 years. He was employed by Lufkin Shoe Hospital for many years and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church, Lufkin Chapter of the NAACP, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lufkin. He was a 1952 graduate of Lufkin Dunbar High School, where he was active in the band. He was a U. S. Navy veteran.

Survivors: wife, Deloris; sons, Galan A. of Ft. Dix, New Hampshire and Robert D. of Lufkin; step-sons, Devin and Darwin; sister, Mrs. Linda Stubblefield of Baytown; grandchild, Renequa; 7 aunts; 3 uncles
