Funeral services for Timothy Ross Sledd, 75, a 23-year resident of Placerville, will be conducted by the Rev. E. Victor Martin of the Church of the Nazarene at two o'clock Friday in Memory Chapel. Interment will be in the IOOF cemetery in Diamond Springs.
Mr. Sledd was born in Missouri Aug. 17, 1888, and died Nov. 12 at his residence on Headington road. In his earlier years, before retirement, he had been employed as a pointer on the resaw for Caldor Lumber company in Diamond Springs for 10 years and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Placerville.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Delpha May Sledd of Placerville, a son, Vester C. Sledd of Placerville; three daughters, Mrs. John H. Pittman of Placerville, Mrs. Albert Mitchell of Vina and Mrs. Arthur Germann of Stockton, four brothers, Thomas Sledd of Sterling, Colo., Ernest Sledd of Sacramento, and Floyd and Tine Sledd of Edwards, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Carr, also of Edwards; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.∼son of John Sled and Mary McFarland
