Born in Highland Springs, on May 21, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stella Virginia Fox Abbitt and Herbert Moorman Abbitt.
Joyce is survived by an aunt, Charlotte Lageman and numerous family members including a special cousin, Janet Harrover.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
Memorials contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
