Obituary
Mr. Hosea T. Holmes
Early Thursday morning the death of Mr. Hosea T. Holmes was announced. He was taken with the measles last Saturday which produced globular diabetes from the efforts of which he died at three o'clock this morning.
Mr. Holmes was born in the town of Farmersville on Dec. 28, 1821 making his age 68 years, and all his life up to 19 years ago, was spent in that town. He was married in 1842 to Miss Eliza A. Button, and three sons was the result of this union: Messrs, A.O. Holmes, of this village, C.S. Holmes, of Munkato, Minn., and L.M. Holmes of Farmersville.
Nineteen years ago he moved to this town and has since resided here winning the esteem of all with whom he came in contact. His demise was very sudden and unexpected, and aside from the sorrowing family he leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral will be held in the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. A.S. Thompson, officiating.
