A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Virginia Allen, 83, of Jefferson, Texas will be held in the Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Markle officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Memorial Park under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Virginia (Ginny) was born on September 17, 1929, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Henry and Evadna Hardy. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and a 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who made this world a more beautiful place with her flower garden and her smile.

Mrs. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Bob Allen, her sister Betty Cornelius, and her niece Gina Perry. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Nell Montgomery, two grandsons and their wives Matthew and Krystal, Mark and Jessie Montgomery. Maw-Maw also has two great grandchildren, Michelle and Mitchell.
