Carl was born and raised in Edwardsville, Ill. After school he went to work at United States Radiator Corp. in Edwardsville and shortly thereafter went to work for the Litchfield & Madison Railroad. He had advanced to a brakeman at the time of his death and was a member of the Madison Local #727 Brakemen of Railroad Trainmen.
Carl died of blood poisoning and double pneumonia 2 weeks after an appendicitis attack and subsequent operation to remove the appendex.
He left behind his parents, Mr. & Mrs. William Aldrup, brother Henry Aldrup and sister Mrs. Clara Mallette all of Edwardsville.
