Alvin Darnell "Yard Man" "Hand" "PC" Jones, 52, of Corsicana and formerly of Fort Worth, passed away Monday, April 28, 2003, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at M. R. Smith Parlor for Funerals.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Cox, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, officiating and eulogist, and also the Rev. K. D. Davis Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 4, 1950 in Marlin. He was a deacon and member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lonnie Bridges and Earnice Jones; and in-laws, LeRoy and Beaulah Johnson Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Roy Nell Johnson Jones of Corsicana; daughter, Tammie Leach of Fort Worth; son, Christopher Johnson of Corsicana; sister-in-law, Theresa Brown of Corsicana; brothers-in-law, Bobby Tillie of Corsicana and LeRoy Johnson Jr. (Celister) of Corsicana; granddaughter, Typhanie Leach of Fort Worth; aunt, Laura (Rev. Wilburn) Sewell of Fort Worth; and uncle, Curly Ray (Ann) Jones of Houston.
