PLEASANT GARDEN— Edith Cotner Caviness, 96, of Clapp's Nursing Center, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004.
The funeral service will be 11a.m. Friday at Centre Friends Meeting. Burial will follow in Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Edith lived her life in Liberty and Pleasant Garden where she was a homemaker and a farmer who loved her flower gardens. She was a former member of Rocky River Friends Meeting in Liberty. After moving back to Pleasant Garden she became a member of Centre Friends Meeting.
She was preceded in death by her husband J. Razzie Caviness and daughter Margaret Caviness Marley.
Survivors are her daughter, Maxine C. Larkin and her husband, Charles; son-in-law Branson Marley; sister-in-law Nancy B. Cotner; grandchildren, Katrine East. Edith Routh and husband Dicky, Sharon Marley, James Marley and wife Lynne, Debbie Baldwin and husband Richard, Belinda Marley, Timothy Marley and wife Donna, Melody Marley, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty and at other times at the home of Edith Routh.
Memorials may be made to the Centre Friends Meeting Historical or Building Fund, 325 NC Highway 62, Greensboro, NC, 27406
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Clapp's Nursing Center for the loving care given during her stay with them.
