He was born in Marietta, IL on January 13, 1917 to William P. and Mary E. Smith Ackerson. He is survived by 1 Brother – Clarence Ackerson of Bushnell, IL and 1 Sister – Florence E. Bollinger of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers and 5 Sisters. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday March 8, 2013 at the Wiley Cemetery in rural Smithfield, IL. Pastor Rick Weiss will be officiating.
