Mrs. M.B. Allen, Route 3,
died at Boone County Hospital
at 7:45 p.m. yesterday. She had
been in ill health since Septem-
ber.
She was born Jan. 10, 1914,
at Waverly, to Arch Turner Mc-
Gee and Carrie Tomlin McGee.
She was married Sept. 28,
1942. The Allens owned and op-
erated a grocery store here
from 1944 until 1958. For the
last four years Mrs. Allen
worked for the University in
food service at the Student Un-
ion.
Survivors are her husband;
three sisters, Miss Mary McGee,
Mrs. Gilbert Kent, Mrs. Alice
Belzer, all of Centralia; a broth-
er, Arthur McGee of Centralia;
a nephew, Edgar Chamberlain;
a great-niece, Donna Chamber-
lain, both of Centralia; and a
dtep-daughter, Mrs. T. F. O'Con-
nor, who lives in Kansas.
Mrs. Allen was a member of
the First Baptist Church in Cen-
tralia.
Services will be conducted at
2 p.m. Sunday at Parker's
Chapel by the Rev. Howard E.
White, Centralia. Burial will be
in Centralia City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Parker's
after noon tomorrow.
