Frank Berg, 87, died May 23, 2008 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the funeral home. Frank was born April 29, 1921 in Audubon, Iowa to Frank and Florence Berg. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Frank was a truck driver for Monarch PYA until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church, where he served many offices and taught Sunday school for many years. He enjoyed fishing and playing violin in the church orchestra at Pythian Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. Frank had been a life long Des Moines resident and spent his winters in Country Palms RV in San Juan, Texas. Frank is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Berg; his granddaughter, Marjorie (Richard) Weller; his grandson, Robert (Stephanie) Oak; his grandson, Mike (Cindy) Oak; his great-grandchildren, Ashley & Amber Weller, Elizabeth & Megan Oak, and Michael Taylor; his sister Mary Louise Brinkman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rose; two sons, Frank Leo and Arnold Lee; and his brother, Charles.
