Wilbur Chapman, 62 years old died suddenly on December 18, 1953 of a cerebral hemorrhage. He went to the barn to feed and when he failed to return to the house in a reasonable time his family went to see about him and found him dead in the barn.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Beeler Chapman; three daughters, Mrs Anna Mae Higbee, Mrs Dorothy Medley and Mrs Alma Nall; two sons, Arthur Chapman and Richard Chapman; two sisters, Pearl and Hazel; two brothers, Guy and Owen.
Funeral services were held at Buck Grove Baptist Church with burial in Garnettsville, Cemetery.
