Mrs. Catherine Connors, wife of Timothy Connors, well known resident of Hall county, living about three miles west of the city, passed away at her home at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. For some time past she had been suffering from high blood pressure and about two weeks ago her condition became serious, since which time she had failed rapidly. She was born in Canada on May 13, 1853, being age 70 years, 1 month and 28 days. For the past 25 years the family has resided in Hall county. Surviving her, besides her bereaved husband, are two daughters, Bessie and Winifred Connors, of Casper, Wyo., three sons, W. H. and Edward, of Lisco, Nebr., and J. M. of Sheridan, Wyo. One daughter has preceded the mother in death. She is also survived by six sisters and four brothers, they being: Mrs. Dan Manning, of this city; Mrs. Winifred Watts, of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Susan Byrne, of Rock River, Wyo.; Mrs. John Burke, of Waumbay, S. Dak.; Mrs. John Kennedy, of Burwell; Mrs. Pat Connely, of Lisco, James Duffin, of Crawford, John and William Duffin, of Greeley, and Thomas Duffin, residing in Canada. Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's Cathedral at 9 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Father Heimes officiating. Burial will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
