Funeral for Horace Hampton Hyland, a retired railroad worker, will be in the west chapel of Apostolic Faith Church at 10 a.m. Monday.
Mr. Hyland died Friday in a Vancouver, Wash. hospital. He was 85. He was born in Lowell and had been a resident of Portland since 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa S.; daughters, Delores Cook of Paradise, Calif., Demova Kiwior of Battleground, Wash., and Elizabeth Woodward and June Batt, both of Portland; brothers, Arthur of Springfield and Lester of North Platte, Neb.; a sister, Nel Childs of Portland; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in New Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, Wash.
