He was 60 years of age at his death, having been a member of the Autauga Rifles... Mr. TAYLOR was a son of Major Asberry TAYLOR, of this county. He served on the Autauga County Board of Revenue for several terms...

Lewis Tyus TAYLOR was born August 29, 1846, and died June 11, 1905, at his home in Mulberry. In the spring of 1864, he volunteered his services and joined the Autauga Rifles. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Miss Anna Salter and to this union God gave four children (not named), three sons and one daughter. Two years after her death, he was again happily married to Miss Addie Howard, daughter of the late Dr. C.C. Howard, and to them were born one son (not named). Interment was made in the TAYLOR Cemetery near his old home, and the place of his birth. -Prattville Progress, August 18, 1905
