ELIZABETH SOCK IS BRIDE OF AL KONWINSKI

On Wednesday, May 24, 1944 at nine o'clock in the morning, a very beautiful wedding was solemnized at Krakow church when Miss Elizabeth Sock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sock became the bride of Al Konwinski, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Konwinski.

Rev. Edward Soliwoski officiated, using the double ring ceremony before an altar beautifully decorated with tulips, lilies and lighted candles.

Miss Katherine Sock attended her sister as bridesmaid, and Steve Bosak a friend of the bridegroom, was best man.

Miss Sock, given in marriage by her father, was beautifully gowned in a white marquisette dress made with a full skirt which fell into a two and one-half yard train. The dress featured long sleeves, puffed high at the shoulder and ending in a point over the wrist. Her long veil, trimmed with lace, was held in placeby a crown of pearls. She carried a bouquet of calla lillies tied with a white bow and for something old she carried an old prayer book, something new, her wedding gown, something borrowed, a string of pearls, something blue, she wore blue bows on her slippers.

Miss Katherine Sock wore a pink net dress of floor length, trimmed with blue flowers. The dress featured a full skirt, puffed sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. She wore a blue satin tiara and blush veil and carried pink carnations tied with a blue bow.

The groom wore a blue suit with a white carnation in his coat lapel and his attendant also wore a blue suit with a pink carnation in his coat lapel.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the brides home which was decorated in the bridal colors, pink and white, and numerous bouquets of flowers. The brides table was centered with a two-tiered wedding cake.

That evening the young couple was honored at a wedding dance at the Kula hall in Silver Creek, with Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Stachura of Columbus leading the grand march.

Mrs. Konwinski attended school in Silver Creek and has made her home with her parents. Mr. Konwinski attended school at Loup City, and now has employment at Omaha where the newlyweds will make their home.
