"Amos W. (Bill) Moorehead, 82, died 04 Jan 1970 at Ball Memorial Hospital. A native of Columbus Grove, OH, he came to Muncie about 50 yrs ago and worked as a glassmaker and machinist for Ball Corp. for 42 yrs before retiring. He ws also employed at Bell Machine Engineering Co. As a young man Mr. Moorehead served in the U.S. Navy and took part in Asiatic cruises prior to WWI during the Russian-Japanese conflicts. Mr. Moorehead was a member of F&AM and Royal Arch Masons. He attended Industry United Methodist Chuch.
Surviving are his wife, Viola; a son, Robert E. Moorehead; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Armstrong of Northbrook, IL; a foster daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Buttram of Fremont, CA; and two step-grandchildren. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery."
