Mrs. Hampton was a lifelong Unicoi County resident and a daughter of the late Arch and Suzanne Lewis Bennett.
She was employed as a machine operator by Leon-Ferenbach for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hampton in 1992 and a sister Dolly Evans.
Survivors include three sons, John D of Raleigh NC and Allen R. and Roger L. of Erwin; one daughter, Robin A.
