Mrs. King died Saturday, March 09, 2013. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edna Smith Trimnal. She graduated from Central High School where she played on the Ladies Basketball Team. She retired as cafeteria manager of Camden Primary School. In her years, she worked for the A&P in Camden.
Mrs. King was a member of Wateree Baptist Church where she was a past president of the Women's Missionary Union and participated in the Houser Prayer Group. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with family.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, James Douglas King; sons, James G. "Jimmy" King of Camden, John D. "Johnny" King (Paula) of Camden, and Fred Michael King of Lebanon Community, Ridgeville, S.C.; daughter, Rose Mary King Powers (Henry) of Lugoff; sister, Frances McCutchen (Sam) of Red Hill; grandchildren, Doug King (Kim), Whit King (Micah), Rodney Powers (Bridgett), Robbie Powers (Teresa), Sherri Barrett, Susanne Boyd, David King (Abbie), Greer King, Kenny King and Brittany Welch; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes McCaskill (Sam).
