Born in Laurens, he was the son of Ola B. Campbell and the late Hubert M. Campbell. He was formerly employed as a driver with McLean Trucking Co. and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Tracy Parsons, of Greenville; sons, Johnny Campbell, of Greenville, and Michael R. Hancock, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters; one brother; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister; brother; and a son.
Services will be held in the chapel at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, Monday, at 12 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11:45 a.m. with burial in Graceland West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 10794, Greenville, SC 29603.
