Bruce Edwin Griesmer, 68, went to be with our Lord on May 1, 2012, at Duke University Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Nancy, devoted father to Robert (Arlene) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Raquel of Swansboro and Laura (David) of Jacksonville. He was the beloved brother of Ruthann Damone of Jacksonville. He was a devoted grandfather to six grandchildren and devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1966. Bruce served for twenty years in the Marine Corps and was a proud Vietnam veteran. He was a realtor in Jacksonville for many years and loved fishing. Bruce was an amazing man, displaying courage, strength and humor in all situations. He will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2 p.m. May 10 at the Camp Lejeune Protestant Chapel.
