Clair R. Ilgenfritz, 74, of North York, died at 10:35 p.m., Wednesday, at his home. He was the husband of Doris L. (Welsh) Ilgenfritz. The couple observed their 52nd wedding anniversary in May.


The service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.


Mr. Ilgenfritz was born on Jan. 23, 1924, in York. He was the son of the late Thomas and Maude (Senft) Ilgenfritz.


He was a finisher at the former Thonet Furniture Co., in York. He was a Boy Scout Leader and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.


Mr. Ilgenfritz also is survived by two sons, Bryan R. Ilgenfritz, of Spring Grove; and Jeffrey L. Ilgenfritz, of York; six daughters, Karen S. Sentz, Mitze J. Thomas, and Vickie M. Bunnell, all of Dover; Iwanda J. Doutrich, of Lancaster; Marcia R. McGuire, of Red Lion; and Kathy E. Stough, of Yoe; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Ilgenfritz, of York; and two sisters, Dolores Miller, of Dover; and Regina Miller, of York.
