Bio From Anita, Just Now

In this picture KC is holding his birthday present
in his mouth ... a huge bone that was just for him
and apsolutely not anybody else. He was so possessive of it that he tried to hide it under our bed to keep everybody, including Cody from getting it. He was so excited and thrilled with it, that he made us all laugh and laugh at his efforts to keep it away from us at all costs.

KC was the leader of the pack of two, KC and Cody, and he was so funny that he kept us in stitches every day.
If and when KC got outside w/o his leash, his nose would immediately drop to the ground and he would follow it wherever it went, for as long as he could keep up with himself. We would usually find him a couple of blocks away, getting petted and treats from our neighbors who knew who he was and where he belonged. He was adorable and loved attention and to be petted. We tried to teach him to stay home, but to no avail.

KC was my gentle being, who woke me up from the first day I had him until the end, just by nosing me, or barking softly as though to say, "Wake up, it's a beautiful day. I need to go outside." If I didn't move, he would bark louder until I did. I loved it!

When KC was very little I had to make a trip to Utah to visit my daughter & family and my other daughter Susan stayed at the house with KC and Cody, which was fine. She kept them in the bathroom at night in their little carriers. When I got home I continued by putting them in their carriers at night in the bathroom. However, KC threw a fit when I put him in his. He barked so incessantly, that I almost gave him away. He would not quit no matter what I did. I finally called her, she came over, and saw what was wrong right away.
I had fastened the latch on the carrier and KC did not like that. He wanted the door open at all times so he could eat, drink or do his jobs whenever he wanted to. As soon as the door was left open he was OK. Wow!
He never gave up ... what a dog!

The two of them were so well behaved we took them with us everywhere. People thought they were show dogs and they were so beautiful -- a gold and white and a black and white.

We miss them both terribly. I'm sure they are at the Rainbow Bridge together, running out in the sun and wind, barking happily, and waiting for us to come and play with them.
