Peter C Ravia died early Wednesday morning For several years he has made his home with his son, G. C. Ravia, mail carrier. Mr. Ravia had been enjoying splendid health and when retiing Tuesday night seemed to be his jovial self.
But after midnight he was heard making restless movements and his son and daughter-in-law went in and he was soon relieved and seemingly very comfortable. He usually slept late So no one disturbed his seeming slumbers, until his son came in from his early Griggs route and went to see how his father was resting when he found him dead. Mr. Ravia was born in Nacogdoches county, Texas, coming to this county in 1915, and to Texhoma in 1927 to live with his son. Three daughters survive him, two of whom live in Clinton, Okla., and one at Goodwell, Okla., only one son, G. C. Ravia. Mr. Ravia was a man who always saw the good in life and so lived. He was vitally interested in all the issues of this time and was outspoken in his views of issues that appealed to him. Funeral Services were held at the Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Moore of that pastorate. A choir sang the old songs so dear to him in life. Then he was laid to rest in Texhoma Cemetery. Mr. Ravia had passed the four score by six years, and now the pilgrimage is ended and he has laid aside life's cares and sorrows and has put on the crown of immortality.
