"HUTCHINSON--In this city, July 22, Isabella, wife of J. W. Hutchinson, and eldest daughter of the late John Cairns of the Golden City Chemical Works, a native of Scotland, aged
33 [sic-36] years. [Newcastle-on-Tyne papers please copy.]
Friends and acquaintences are respectfully invited to attend the funeral to-morrow (Sunday), at 2 o'clock P.M., from the residence of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Cairns, No. 365 Minna street."

Isabella was buried in Calvary Cemetery in
San Francisco in the same plot as her father, John Cairns, and her infant daughter, Jane Hutchinson (1886-1886). In the mid-20th century, Calvary Cemetery was forced to close; the buried were disinterred and relocated. On May 13, 1940, Isabella, John, and baby Jane were removed to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma where they now rest next to each other in Graves 1, 2, and 3.
