Frankie Pauline Shields was my dad's grandmother. She was the daughter of Madison M. Jones and Arminda C. Bogard. She was married to William DeMoss Shields. She had two sons, William Monroe and Frank Shields.

My great-grandmother passed away on August 17, 1945 at 57 years of age. She died from ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones.

VETERAN SALESLADY DIES AT HER HOME

Mrs. W.D. Shields veteran department store saleslady died Friday night at her home, 2912 Gould. She was 57 and until a year ago was employed in the piece goods department of Sanger Bros. She had lived in Dallas forty-five years. Surviving are her husband; two sons, William M. Shields and Frank Shields; mother, Mrs. A.C. Jones; brother, I.N. Jones, and a grandchild, all of Dallas. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the McKamy-Ingram-Batchler Funeral Home, 1921 Forest. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
