Philemon John "Jack" Baddeley, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully after a long life filled with love, ambition, adventure, and giving to others.

He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, son of Philemon and Ola (Young) Baddeley and grew-up in Hollywood, CA. After graduating from Hollywood High, Jack played basketball while attending UCLA, then served in the Navy as a Lieutenant during World War II. Jack co-founded Tri Way Contractors (floor covering contractor), and after 45 years, retired to travel and to be close to family in San Diego.

Jack will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth "Bette" (Sandstrom), his daughter Linda and son-in-law Gary Plambeck, his grandchildren, Christopher, Jacqueline, Andrew and Robin, and great-grand-daughter, Kendall. Jack is pre-deceased by his daughter, Carol.

Services will be held Friday, March 1st at 2pm at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar. Donations in memory of Jack can be sent to Hollywood Wilshire YMCA or The Zoological Society of San Diego. Published in San Diego Union-Tribune on February 25, 2013
