Donald C. Muehlbauer, age 78, of 1240 Arlington Avenue, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, December 7, 2004, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Donald was born November 9, 1926, in Manitowoc, son of the late Carl and Alma Paepke Muehlbauer. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Donald was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre aboard the U.S.S. General Clamer. On September 13, 1952, he married the former Ruth Helwich in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death March 9, 1973. Donald was an officer with the Manitowoc Police Department for over 33 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the American Legion - Drews Bleser Post #88.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann & Billy Herrmann, Sue Luebke, all of Manitowoc; four granddaughters, Petra Luebke & her fiancee, Ryan Morris, Manitowoc, Ruth & Seth Menominee, Madison, Koren Luebke, Manitowoc, Colleen Herrmann, Manitowoc and three great granddaughters, Anna & Kendra Menominee and Sloane Morris. Also surviving are other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004, until 11:00 a.m. at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004, at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Richard Runge with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion - Drews Bleser Post #88.
