Gertie Hebert Pipsair, born to Edgar and Octavia Percle Hebert on November 12, 1924 in Pierre Part. She left to be with her Lord and Savior at 88 years old on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 12:45 p.m. at Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City. She was a native and resident of Pierre Part; retired custodian with the Pierre Part School System, member of Council on Aging Pierre Part, and member of AARP Pierre Part Chapter.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arcema "Pep" Pipsair; grandson, Dwayne P. Matherne; six brothers, Clarence, Allen, Harry, Louis and Oneal Hebert; three sisters, Pauline Cedotal, Edith Crochet and Ezelda Daigle. Her family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor in Napoleonville and the sixth floor nursing staff at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, and special thanks to Dr. Albert Liante for the special care given to Gertie. Visitation will be on Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Officiated by Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
