A funeral service of Donald "Donnie" Van Fossen, 81, of Newark will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at
Church of God of Licking County, 2181 Riggs Road NE, Newark with Pastor Anthony Bartlette
presiding.
The family will receive friends one hour before service time will be at the church.

Interment at Hanover Cemetery.
Mr. Van Fossen, retired from the Licking Valley School System, died June 20, 2006, at Licking
Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Bremen, Ohio, to his late
parents, Roger A. and Fannie Pauline (Miley) Van Fossen.

Donnie was a member of Church of God of Licking County and served in both World War II and
the Korean War with the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris; daughters, Connie (Bill) Cooperrider, of Hanover, and
Brenda (Kevin) Jackson, of Hanover; grandchildren Matthew (April) and Jason (Jennifer)
Cooperrider, Adam (Deborah) and Broox Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Amirah and Chloe
Cooperrider and Caleb Jackson; brother, James (Judith) Van Fossen, of Richmond, Va.; sister,
Patricia (Kenneth) Toney of Pleasantville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his brother, William, and twin
brother, David; sister-in-law, Eileen.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 North 21st St.,
Newark.
