Their children included Emma Yakley, born in August 8, 1876, in Indiana and died March 23, 1902 in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri; Bertha Ester (Yakley) Kinsolving, born 1879 and died 1956; Maude Viola (Yakley) Rice born July 15, 1881 and died April 15, 1967; Luther V. Yakley, born on February 6, 1884, in Missouri and died on July 7, 1902 in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri; Clarence born March 7, 1888, in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri and died May 12, 1889, in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri; George Everett Yakley, born December 9, 1889, in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri, died on March 28, 1951, in Las Animas, Bent County, Colorado; Ina Samantha (Yakley) Pope, born in December 21, 1890, in Missouri and died in Las Animas, Bent County, Colorado; Ruby E. (Yakley) Edmonton, born in August 1893, in Missouri; and Frankie (Yakley) Clark, (female), born in May 22, 1896, in Missouri and died June 1974 in West Plains, Howell County, Missouri.

Sarah (Ax) Yakley remarried to William Stenet Kinsolving on September 12, 1903, but they were divorced by 1910.

The 1910 census shows that only six of Sarah's nine children were living and she lived with children, George, Ruby and Frankie.

On December 18, 1915, Sarah married James L. Chestnut and continued to live in West Plains, Howell Co., Missouri, as seen in the 1920 census.
