Mrs. Emma M. Cull, 739 East 63rd Terrace, Kansas City, MO, 81 years old, was called home July 25, 1953, after a lingering illness of more than 10 years. At the time of her passing she was a patient of the Westport Rest Home 3940 McGee St. She had lived in Kansas City 19 years and was a member of the Linwood Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cull was the last survivor of her entire family. She was born on October 20, 1871, the daughter of Henry P. and Elizabeth Oblander LaFrenz, on a farm near Wyaconda, MO.
Mrs. Cull was a faithful wife, an indulgent mother, a good neighbor, and above all a genuine christian and a loyal church member having spent her entire life from childhood on, in the service of her Master. She worked with her husband in the Zion Methodist Church near their farm home, one mile from the home where she was born. They later, with their children, transferred their membership to the Wyaconda Methodist church of which she was a member until the time of her residence in Kansas City, MO. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge during the time of her residence in Wyaconda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Cull in 1923, her son Clayton in 1909 and her Waldo in 1949.
Surviving are: her daughter, Mrs. Virgil S. Holycross of the home, her son, Delbert H. Cull, Kansas City, MO and her grandson, Roland D. Cull, LaPlata, MO.
Memorial services were held at the Wyaconda Methodist Church, Monday, July 27th, 1953, conducted by Rev. George V. Baskett assisted by Rev. Lawrence LaFrentz.
Interment was made in the Wyaconda cemetery on the family lot.
