Lloyd Allen Chism, age 66, died Monday, March 11, 2013 in Southaven, MS. He was born December 31, 1946 in Jonesboro, AR to the late Leonard Lloyd Daggett and Virdean (Daggett) Barton. Lloyd was a master electrician and founder of Chism Electric Incorporated in Memphis, TN. For years he was an active member of Hunter's Run Church of Christ in Southaven where he served as song leader and was recently attending Olive Branch Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his children and family.
Visitation is planned for Friday, March 15, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel with Bro. Billy Sasser officiating. Burial will be in the Ford's Well Cemetery in Oakland, MS. Pallbearers are: Ron Russell, Mitchell Crocker, Charles Purdon, Michael Malone, Dustin Smith and Luke Purdy. Bill Williamson and Eddie Wiggs will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Lloyd is survived by his mother, Virdean "Deana" Barton of Oakland, MS; his daughter, Christie Russell (Ron) of Meridian, MS; three sons, Tim Chism (Angie) of Nesbit, MS, Brandon Chism and Preston Chism of Southaven, MS; one sister, Shelia Wagner (David) of Somerville, TN; two brothers, Ben Barton of Collierville, TN and Eddie Barton (Pam) of Jackosn, MO; four grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Courtney Jicks, Jacob Russell and Garrett Chism; and one great granddaughter, Callie Grace Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward "Roy" Barton.
