Mrs. W. Adams Rites Pending
Funeral services for Mrs. W.A. Adams, 75, southwest of the city, long-time resident of Stillwater, will be held Saturday, October 5 at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church. Rev. Kenneth W. Copeland, pastor, will be in charge. Burial will be at Fairlawn cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral home.
Alice Kinyon Adams was born May 28, 1871, at Okawville, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Kinyon. She came with her parents to Stillwater in 1891, settling three miles north of the city.
She married Walter A Adams at the home north of the city August 26, 1891, and lived there until 1901, when they moved to their present home, southwest of Stillwater.
She resided in Ellensburg, Wash., and Augusta, Kas., before moving to Stillwater. She was a member of the First Methodist church and the Good Cheer Farm Women's club.
A daughter, 10, and one son age 1 year, preceded her in death. Other survivors include:
The husband of the home; two sons, W.V. Adams, route 4 Stillwater and Arthur J. Adams, 1001 Duck; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Friend of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Mrs. Janie Smith of Harrisburg, Ark., and six grandchildren.
