William E. Baker Beloved uncle CANANDAIGUA - William E. Baker, age 88, formerly of Canandaigua Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Ontario County Health Facility. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Viola Sennett of Canandaigua; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys M. Baker in 2011; and son, John H. Baker in 2002. Mr. Baker was born in Fairport and was the son of Eugene and Pearl (Gaston) Baker. He was a graduate of Brockport High School, class of 1945. Mr. Baker was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a naval meteorologist. He retired from Canandaigua City School District, where he was a custodian and bus driver. Mr. Baker was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 18, at 11 a.m. at Rose Ridge Cemetery, County Road 33, Naples. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario County Health Facility Activities Fund, 3062 County Complex Dr., Canandaigua, NY 14424. (Daily Messenger)
