Kelly Norris Kelly Norris passed away unexpectedly, at home with her mother, in the wee hours of Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was 47 years old. Kelly was born in Dallas, Texas on October 18, 1965. In 1984, she graduated from Anderson High School in Austin Texas. A loving mother of two children, she is survived by her son Chase Norris Jackson and daughter Summer Brooke Jackson. She is also survived by her mother, Joyce Norris, her brother, King Norris, and his wife, Carter Thorp, and his daughter, Grayson Norris, as well as many close cousins and second cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Norris. Kelly loved deeply and had a kind heart, always being so caring for the elderly, little children, and looking at the inside of a person. She was a Christian from an early age and grew up in the Reverend Dr. Harold O'Chester's church in its beginning as Allandale Baptist Church. She worked with the Special Olympics as a volunteer, and it thrilled her to cheer them on and be there at the end of their events to give them warm hugs and congratulations. She had a wonderful singing voice and a comedic talent that could have been on stage. Her children's friends loved to be around her- they said she was the "fun-ist" mom of all. There will be a visitation held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the family plot at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas, Reverend Dr. Tom Goodman of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiating. Her Uncle, John Wesley Collier of Mission Viejo, California (whom she adored) will say a few personal words. Friends are urged to attend and help the family celebrate her homegoing to her Lord Jesus Christ. Condolences may be sent to www.cookwaldenfuneralhome.com
