WALTER ENGLE
Walter P. Engle, 66, clerk at the Bell hotel, Main street, died at 3:15 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Bethesda hospital following a lingering illness.
A native of Cumberland, he had resided in this city for 40 years. He was a member of Euclid Avenue Methodist church.
Surviving are two sons, Harry Engle of 9 North Third street and Don Engle of 838 Dryden road; a brother, Frank Engle, and a sister, Miss Celista Engle, both of Cumberland; three grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Dean-Swope funeral home with Rev. J. R. Wynd, pastor of the Euclid Avenue Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Ark Springs cemetery near Cumberland. The body will remain at the funeral home.
