SOUTHAVEN, MISSISSIPPI
Evan Dwaine Heaberlin, 51, died Saturday, September 10, 2005, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, Tenn. with memorial services immediately following. Visitation is also 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Wright and Ferguson with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. in Jackson, Miss.

Dwaine was raised in Jackson where he graduated from Wingfield High School and Mississippi College. Dwaine eventually settled in Southaven and began his career with the Memphis Police Department. Lt. Heaberlin retired in 2005 after 26 years of dedicated service.

Dwaine is survived by his wife, Cheryl Houston Heaberlin, formerly of Jackson, brother Conley Heaberlin of Philadelphia, Penn; children, Nikki and Stefan Heaberlin of Walls; stepchildren Jason Sims, Ryan Sims and Shannon Zimmerman; and three grandchildren.
