Born Oct. 7, 1943, in Mowersville, she was the daughter of Rosalee Long Crider Coy and the late Albert Crider.
She had been an assistant manager of Ames Department Store prior to its closing.
In addition to her mother, surviving are a daughter, Lorie Piper of Chambersburg; two sons, Roderick (husband of Brenda) Piper of St. Thomas and Jason Helman of Chambersburg; three grandchildren; a brother; a half- sister; and her ex-husband and caregiver, Randy Helman of Chambersburg.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg. The Rev. Harold Yeager will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Services performed under the direction of Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., Chambersburg.
