Born in Paden, Oklahoma on Aug. 17, 1924.
Departed on April 16, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz.

Harley William Guinn, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona of natural causes. He was 83 years old.

Harley was born to Daniel Webster and Easter Hazel (Newton) Guinn on the 17th of August 1924 in Paden, Ok. Harley joined the United States Army in May of 1943 and served through December 1945. Harley was a paratrooper during World War II and served as a member of the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was involved in battles and campaigns in both Africa and Europe.

He married Doris Dawn Blinn on December 26th 1945 in Flagstaff, Arizona. They made their home in Cottonwood, Arizona where they continue to reside to the present day. He was in the construction industry and eventually became a general contractor and respected builder.

Harley had a passion for deep seas fishing. He also enjoyed flying, hunting and playing golf. As his wife and children - we will miss his dry wit, ready smile, and willingness to do anything needed for his family and friends.

Harley is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jimmy, Henry, and Leon; his sisters, Bonnie and Pauline.

Harley leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Dawn (Blinn) Guinn; and their four children, Judith Guinn, Duanne Guinn with his wife, Diana, Mike Guinn with his wife, Vicky, and Dana Rhea Lichtman with her husband, Keith; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Loretta and Lucille.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, Arizona.
